DFDL’s Third Annual Myanmar Tax Update Seminar was held on 19 May 2016 from 9:00am to 11:00am at Summit Parkview Hotel in Yangon.
Led by Bernard Cobarrubias, Regional Tax Director, shared our practical experience in dealing with some of the tax challenges facing businesses in Myanmar. The seminar covered the most recent changes in the Myanmar Tax Laws, including: the 2016 Tax of the Union Law, the Special Commodities Tax Law, the new tax notifications and the recent changes to tax policy and practices in Myanmar.
The DFDL tax team shared knowledge and experience of tax compliance, tax audit challenges, Double Tax Agreements (DTAs), tax refunds, Stamp Duty assessments, and other areas where the rules may seem unclear.
The seminar provided a forum to share experience and knowledge with our tax experts and was followed by a Q&A.
