According to the EABC, the establishment of the EABC Working Group on Energy serves as a forum for discussing common issues as well as for taking initiative and action with the aim to support European businesses in the energy sector.

EABC Working Groups are a critical driving engine to facilitate market access for European companies in Thailand and to foster an active link between relevant Thai policymakers/authorities on the one hand and European business players on the other.

The working groups also provided an oppotunity to strategize and provide a focus for working with/advocating to the Thai authorities to recognize and then address issues of concern and difficulties faced by European businesses in terms of the market access issues, and trade and investment challenges
