Kraisorn Rueangkul, Partner, participated as a speaker at the “HR Law Summit 2016” organized by World Business Forum. The summit was held at the Pullman Bangkok Grande Sukhumvit in Bangkok, Thailand. Kraisorn presented on “Best Practice: The Drafting of Expatriate Employment Contracts”. It covered varied employment matters such as:
- The scope and application of an employer’s policies, host country policies and related work agreements;
- Termination of employment, including notice periods, severance payments, the repatriation of employees and grounds for dismissal;
- Non-compete clauses – regulations and legislation aimed at the prevention of expat employees from engaging in unfair competition practices with regard to previous employers; and
- Practical examples and case studies to be discussed with an emphasis on sustainable employment procedures and effective human resource management strategies to ensure adherence to employment law and best practices.
The HR Law Summit 2016 brought together experts from across a broad range of governmental, private and legal sectors to impart knowledge to Senior Executives, HR managers, other key business leaders and economic stakeholders who seek to keep abreast of the latest regulations, HR trends and developments in Thailand.
