DFDL is delighted to announce the appointment of Rupert Haw as the new Country Managing Director (CMD) of its Lao PDR practice, effective 12 April 2014.
Rupert will replace the outgoing CMD, Brennan Coleman, who is leaving the firm to take up the role of RMA Group’s first General Counsel, located in Bangkok, Thailand.
Rupert initially joined DFDL in Cambodia in 2006 and since then he has worked with the firm in Phnom Penh, Bangkok and Yangon before joining the Vientiane office in July 2012. He was appointed Deputy Country Managing Director in Lao in May 2013. He is a highly experience lawyer, with outstanding experience in telecommunications, corporate finance and M&A in South East Asia, and he has strong credentials in regulatory and operational risk management in emerging economies.
Prior to joining DFDL, Rupert was a senior manager with Deloitte Forensic & Dispute Services in South Africa where he specialized in managing large fraud investigation and corruption cases.
