IFLR Asia Awards 2014
DFDL has been named Law Firm of the Year for Myanmar for the second consecutive year at the International Financial Law Review (IFLR) Asia Awards ceremony on 26 February 2014, in Hong Kong.
IFLR’s National Law Firm awards are given to the firm with the best track record in 2013 giving legal advice on the most innovative international finance deals in their respective countries. This includes debt, equity and equity-linked deals, securitization and structured finance, M&A, private equity, project finance and restructurings. The IFLR Asia Awards have existed for more than 15 years and is a highly reputable award.
DFDL has been advising investors in Myanmar for nearly 20 years. This award shows that the DFDL’s team, their continuous efforts on the ground, as well as our leading position and reputation in Myanmar are recognized.
Chambers & Partners Asia-Pacific Ranking 2014
The 2014 rankings from the internationally recognized legal directory Chambers Asia-Pacific were recently published.
We are also pleased to announce that DFDL in Myanmar was again one of only two law firms in that jurisdiction awarded the highest ranking:

DFDL Cambodia and DFDL Lao PDR were also recognized by Chambers with a Band 1 ranking in 2014.
Since 1990, the Chambers Guides rank the best law firms and lawyers and cover 185 jurisdictions around the world. The regional guide on Asia-Pacific covers 41 jurisdictions in Asia including Japan and the South Pacific and is published annually in February. The researchers conduct conversations, expert interviews and review information submitted by the law firms that built the basis for their commentaries and rankings.
In this year’s edition, Chambers Asia-Pacific says about DFDL in Myanmar: “This is one of the longest-running practices in Myanmar, and is consistently regarded by clients and peers alike as a pre-eminent firm with a developed practice in all areas of commercial law.
