On 19 September 2019, The Daily Star together with Standard Chartered Bank (“SCB”) Bangladesh organized a roundtable: “Bangladesh as The Next Destination: Deepening Economic Ties with Japan”. DFDL Partner and Bangladesh Managing Director, Shahwar Nizam, was part of the discussion along with other key experts.
“Bangladesh has one of the most FDI friendly legal regimes in the entire region”, Shahwar told the group present. “If we can properly implement the One Stop Service Act and streamline different regulatory and licensing requirements in an automated system, great change will be underway.”
