On 26 June 2019, the In-House Community presented the eighteenth In-House Congress in Kuala Lumpur, part of the In-House Community Congress series, hosted by Pacific Business Press.
In-House Congress Kuala Lumpur 2019 gathered together leading in-house lawyers, CEOs, company directors and compliance professionals from both the private and public sectors in Malaysia.
The audience participated in workshops featuring prominent business leaders and lawyers, covering legal developments and recent trends in relation to data protection, digitalization, blockchain, construction disputes, white collar crime, renewable energy, M&A transactions, and Islamic finance.
William Greenlee, DFDL Partner & Myanmar Managing Director, opened the first part of the congress by giving a presentation on Investing in Myanmar and its current developments. The discussion principally focused on key investment laws, investment options and the different sectors undergoing liberalization.
This event was a great opportunity for industry peers and leaders to meet, discuss, and understand the opportunities and challenges of doing business in Malaysia.
