With over 30 years of experience, Thida Aye's areas of expertise include; aviation, contracts, corporate, energy, finance, litigation, real estate and telecommunications.

Thida worked at DFDL in Yangon, Myanmar, from 2007 to 2024, serving as a Country Partner and Senior Legal Adviser. She has now transitioned to a consultant role.

Highly sought after as one of the few Myanmar-qualified lawyers that can operate to the best international standards, Thida provides high-level legal advice to foreign companies on all aspects of business transactions in Myanmar. Thida, who advises on the Myanmar law aspects of many of the firm’s important matters, has a broad business law practice that includes corporate, commercial contracts, finance, energy, real estate, and telecommunications. Thida also plays a leading role in many of the firm’s aviation transactions (a standout area for the firm), and also represents companies in various litigation cases and disputes.

Thida holds an LL.B from the University of Yangon, Myanmar and is admitted to the Myanmar Bar in Yangon.
