Nick is a U.K.-qualified lawyer with 38 years of experience in the U.K. and internationally in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, banking and finance and tech, media and telecoms.

Nick is currently a member of DFDL’s Banking & Finance team based in our Yangon office.

He spent 20 years working for London-based law firms in the U.K., including 12 years as a partner in the corporate departments of three global law firms. Since 1991, Nick has specialised in providing legal advice and transaction assistance to investors, multilateral institutions, and governments in the emerging markets of Eastern Europe, Africa and Southeast Asia, advising on over 130 assignments.

In the last 12 years, he has advised major international lenders and investors such as IFC, ADB, OPIC, FMO and many others on their Myanmar and regional projects. He also specialises in telecoms and ICT law and regulation.

Nick holds a BA in Jurisprudence from St Peter’s College, Oxford University, and is a member of the Law Society of England and Wales.
