Mahboob has worked in Bangladesh for over 12 years and is based in Dhaka.
He specialises in banking and international finance, corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, intellectual property matters, general corporate work, property related issues and litigation work.
Mahboob works with a broad range of clients on single and multi-jurisdictional mergers, acquisitions and disposals, joint venture structuring, project development and related financing arrangements in various sectors, including banking, energy, infrastructure, telecom, logistics, information technology and healthcare.
He has deep experience in helping sponsors, investment bankers, trading houses, project developers, lenders, export credit agencies and multilateral agencies.
Mahboob has worked in DFDL’s Phnom Penh and Bangkok offices, and has assisted on many regional matters involving multi-jurisdictional mergers and acquisitions, and cross-border financing.
Mahboob is qualified to practice in Bangladesh and is a member of the Supreme Court Bar Association, Dhaka Bar Association, and Dhaka Taxes Bar Association.
He holds a Bachelor of Law from the University of London. He was called to the bar of England and Wales in 2008 after completing the vocational course at the University of Northumbria, Newcastle.
