Eduard is a U.S. lawyer, licensed in California. He has advised clients in Asia and the U.S. for over 20 years, with significant experience in corporate and securities law. His practice focuses on the technology sector, with an emphasis on data protection, artificial intelligence, Web3/blockchain and venture capital.
He has been a speaker at conferences regarding data protection and A.I., and he coordinates multi-jurisdictional data protection work among DFDL's 12 offices.
In the blockchain sector, he has been advising clients since 2017, when he was primary counsel for a token generation event valued at over USD 22 million.
For venture capital, his past deals include financing rounds for a biotech company that is now publicly listed on NASDAQ and numerous angel rounds on behalf of a Silicon Valley executive. He also was primary counsel for multiple private placements totaling over USD 20 million for a materials-science company.
Earlier in his career, he worked for Baker McKenzie in Palo Alto, California, and for Loeb & Loeb, an entertainment law-based firm in Los Angeles. He also interned for the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and has served as a lecturer or advisor for several universities in Thailand.
Eduard holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Southern California (USC) and a bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). He is a member of the State Bar of California and has been based in Thailand since 2006.
