Caera heads the Energy, Natural Resources, and Infrastructure practice of Robin Lynn & Lee, bringing over 12 years of experience and insights as a true-blue project advisor advising investors, project sponsors, project developers, contractors, and financial institutions in project development lifecycle in a wide range of sectors, including power and renewable energy, oil and gas, water and wastewater and infrastructure. She was a partner with one of the largest law firms in Malaysia before joining the firm, where she specialises in energy and infrastructure project development.
She has extensive experience advising stakeholders and industry players in bidding, acquiring and developing conventional and renewable power generation assets, including thermal, hydro and solar power plants, and power transmission and distribution assets. In the solar space, she has been actively involved with large-scale solar (LSS) projects, corporate green power programme (CGPA), corporate renewable energy supply scheme (CRESS), rooftop solar photovoltaic systems installations, virtual power purchases and the sale of renewable energy certificates.
Caera is actively advising on upstream and downstream oil and gas project development matters, including matters arising under the production sharing contracts, joint operating agreements, operatorship transfer arrangements, construction and tie-in arrangements, gas evacuation arrangements, pipeline crossing arrangements and supply chain arrangements. She also advises on the proposed farm-in, acquisition and operatorship transfer of oil and gas assets.
Caera has in-depth knowledge and experience in construction and engineering matters. She regularly advises clients, both employers and contractors, on constructing and engineering large infrastructure, manufacturing, and mining facilities. She is often involved in front-end planning, tender exercises, project initiation through design and procurement, and contract administration, where she advises and assists clients in identifying and managing the broad spectrum of risks in the project lifecycle.
Her other recent engagements in the sustainable space include advising on the proposed development of hydrogen production facilities and the proposed generation and issuance of verified carbon units through sustainable forest management. She is also involved with corporate and commercial matters relating to joint ventures, acquisitions, and foreign investment in Malaysia, particularly in power and renewable energy, oil and gas, and infrastructure.
