DFDL’s William Greenlee and Ola Borge of Grant Thornton Advisory Services led a panel on the taxation and legal aspects of Myanmar.

This panel discussed the recent legal and regulatory developments, concentrating on the banking and finance sectors given the impending market entry of nine foreign banking institutions. The discussion proceeded to cover changes to the legal and taxation regime which we see on the horizon. Specifically, it addressed possible new intellectual property legislation, yet another new taxation law and other changes possible over the coming months.
