Dear DFDL Colleagues, I am pleased to announce that Olivier Hubert will assume the role of Chief Financial Officer (CFO) from 1 July 2014. As CFO, Olivier will report to the Board of Director and I, assuming leadership of the finance function with direct supervision and management of the Regional Finance team. Olivier brings with him 20 years of professional experience, 16 years of which were in the Asia Pacific Region. Prior to DFDL, he spent six years as CFO and board member of EEM Victoria Hong Kong, a holding company engaged in hotel operations. From 2001-2005, he was Finance Director of Amec Spie Oil & Gas Services based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia but catering to the whole Asia Pacific region as well as Yemen and Venezuela. During this time, he was also treasurer and board member of the French Malaysian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Olivier started his career at Mazars, a European Chartered Accountant firm, and also set-up his own finance consulting firm. Olivier holds a MBA (IAE) and Master in Corporate Finance (University Paris X). He is a member of the Singapore Institute of Directors.I am also very pleased to announce that Paul Adair, who has been instrumental in building our finance organization over the past seven years, has accepted to take on the critical mission “BU Capability Building” for DFDL until the end of the year. Paul will be visiting every jurisdiction across the region in a consulting capacity to deliver a training and coaching package to the local finance team and CMD/DCMD on finance and practice management best practices that the firm will be rolling out, so expect to see Paul when he visits your jurisdiction in the coming months.
