On behalf of DFDL, Jonathan Blaine (Tax Director, Co-Head of Regional Compliance & Investigations) served as Chair for GRIP’s second annual Asia – Pacific conference in Tokyo on 8-10 September 2023. This conference is a gathering of approximately 15 different firms located throughout the Asia Pacific. GRIP is a global network of firms providing Restructuring and Insolvency services throughout the world, with GRIP – Asia representing those in the network located in the Asia – Pacific region.
DFDL has held the chair for the past 12 months, during which time the network has built up its regional presence and inter-firm relationships. The conference focused on collaborative efforts across the region and assessing developments over that past year as well as providing a chance to share legal and practical case developments.
The conference was held this year in Tokyo to take advantage of the annual INSOL conference, thereby providing network members with the opportunity to connect with INSOL members and expand the network’s reach and recognition.
Based on our successful guidance of the network over the past year, DFDL was chosen by the members to continue serving as the Chair for the next year.
