On 10 and 11 December 2018, David Fruitman, Regional Competition Counsel & Senior Consultant at DFDL Cambodia, spoke at the 14th Asian Competition Forum Annual Conference on Antitrust and Technology Markets in Asia held in Hong Kong.
David Fruitman’s presentation focused on the acquisition of Uber’s Southeast Asian business by Grab. David discussed the importance of this controversial transaction for ASEAN competition law. He reviewed the issues and status in each relevant ASEAN jurisdiction and what guidance could be derived for regulators, business and competition counsel.
