We are delighted to announce that our firm was recently honored with the “Emerging Markets Law Firm of the Year 2013” at the Asian Legal Business (ALB) ceremony on 17 May 2013 in Singapore. The “Emerging Markets Law Firm of the Year” award specifically recognizes our achievements in the Cambodia, Laos, and Myanmar markets. DFDL was founded in Laos in 1994, and expanded to Cambodia and Myanmar in 1995, making us the first international law firm to have a presence in all three markets. Winners in each category of the Southeast Asia Law Awards are selected by two external judging panels: a general panel of more than 40 in-house counsel and private practice lawyers and a special expertise panel for specific categories. Nominations are made by leading law firms throughout the region. |

Our nearly 20-year presence in the emerging markets of Southeast Asia and our talented local teams have permitted DFDL to meet successfully the growing needs of our clients in this region and to accommodate the increased interest from the international business community in this part of the world.
