ASEAN Tax and Investment Strategies 2013
27 August 2013 – Bangkok
It is not enough for Thai and foreign investors to just concentrate on making investments in ASEAN. It is also crucial to optimize the after-tax returns on their outbound investments. The ASEAN member states have also agreed to examine the possibility of an ASEAN double taxation agreement.
This conference will examine what investment structuring ideas and tax planning opportunities exist for Thai and international businesses in ASEAN, especially Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar and Vietnam (CLMV).
Jack Sheehan, Jude Ocampo and Suttipong Srisaard spoke at this conference in Bangkok. Jack’s presentation focused on how to repatriate income to Thailand tax efficiently from Cambodia, Lao PDR, Vietnam and Myanmar, while Khun Suttipong talked about tax planning techniques for outbound investment from Thailand.
