Yee Kai is a qualified Lawyer with over ten years of corporate and commercial law experience working on a wide range of Cambodian projects. These include acquisition of a microfinance company, setting up a new airline, building a garment factory, establishment of a new university, purchase of land and building for a condominium development, setting up an insurance company and launching an international coffee chain.
Prior to his work in Cambodia, he worked extensively in Hong Kong, Singapore, New Zealand and Southeast Asia as an In-House Regional Legal Counsel and Compliance Director for companies such as Singapore Technologies, Motorola and Schneider Electric. More currently, he is a panel lawyer for several banks and sits on the Board of Directors for a microfinance company in Cambodia.
Yee Kai has been admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand and was a member of the Singapore & Hong Kong In-house Counsel Association. He has also served as an independent director on a number of companies, including listed companies in the US, Singapore and Hong Kong.
He is fluent in English, Mandarin and conversant in Cantonese.
